The evening started off with a grand appearance by our Lord Jesus Christ. We enjoyed music by the CFRs, Carmen and Maru Castrejon during Adoration. The message of Christ the King resonated with the grandeur of the Eucharistic Presence. The smell of incense reminded us of the closing of the year and the coming of Advent as we await the coming of the Christ Child. This was the perfect beginning to a great evening.
Next, we gathered for coffee, hot chocolate, tea and lots of other goodies. The fun and energetic sounds of Jesus Team A delighted the audience. The room was on fire with the holy spirit!
About the band, I heard comments like, “you can see the love for Christ in them as they play; what a blessing that they have shared their talents with us tonight; their latin sound is fabulous!” I would have to agree that not only was the sound enthralling but to watch the band playing with such passion for the Lord was inspiring! I am totally looking forward to hearing them play again very soon!
Come join us next time on Saturday, December 19th as we close out the year preparing for the Lord. This will be our last cafe event at St. Maria Goretti in Arlington before moving to Dallas, Texas in 2010.
