Our new MC Carmen Castrejon started off the night with some jokes about her "Mexican withdrawal" experience at UNT and we ended with the blessing of the Our Lady of Guadalupe icon, which now stands next to our San Damiano cross.
The Shepherd's Cafe has a new feel. We made some lighting and setup changes in the room to give it that "cafe" ambiance. Long gone are the nights of florescent lighting and vertical arrangement! Come by and check out the changes we've made!
The night was full of laughter and inspiring music by The Underlying Band. Praise and Worship in the sacrament of Adoration was led by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal of Fort Worth and Carmen and Maru Castrejon of UNT. Once again, Jesus' presence in the Eucharist was not only spiritually fulfilling but also the driving force of the night.
We want to thank The Underlying Band for their message of hope and the Franciscan Friars for their support. God is working wonders my brothers and sisters. We cannot wait to see what He has in store for us at our next cafe weekend!
We had new sheep this weekend but we want more! Bring your family, friends and those neighbors you never talk to down the street. Our next Shepherd's Cafe is October 24th, we hope to see you there!
